So, what IS a pub crawl?
A pub crawl is a tour that will take you through several bars, pubs, and maybe a club. You will spend the day and evening dancing, drinking and partying until it’s time to finally call it quits. Some companies and groups will organize their own special bar crawl for holidays or events but with a little bit of planning, you can easily be the ringleader for your group and determine the ultimate bar tour. OR you can keep scrolling because we’ve planned an awesome pub crawl for you through one of Sacramento’s most beautiful neighborhoods.
East Sacramento is an upscale neighborhood known for its tree-canopied streets and lovely parks, especially McKinley Park. The area has a lively dining scene, with everything from casual burger joints to refined farm-to-fork restaurants, plus family-friendly craft breweries and artisan coffee shops. It’s also home to some of our favorite dive bars in the Sacramento region!
We think a bar crawl is something everyone should try at least once in their lifetime. Not only is it a great way to meet new people, but it’s also a great way to explore your own city or a new-to-you town!
The East Sacramento Pub Crawl
Start your day at our customer Chargins at 4900 J St. Chargins offers delicious breakfasts and drinks without breaking the bank! The bar and restaurant will be full of locals and regulars so if you’re new to the area or looking to catch up with old friends, this is a great place to start your day.
When you’re ready to get moving, Club 2 Me is just a block away and ready to serve you delicious drinks no matter what time of day it is! Club 2 Me, 4738 J Street, offers pool tables, Deer Hunter, heavy-handed drinks, and good times with a welcoming vibe. It’s not to be missed!
From there, it’s time to head over to see our customer Hilltop Tavern, 4757 Folsom Blvd. Hilltop is a Sacramento institution and when you walk in the pub, you’ll quickly see why. It’s full of lively people, lots of TVs with sports on, pool tables & bar games, plus a full bar.
Next, head back to J Street to check out Bonn Lair, 3651 J Street. Bonn Lair is a cozy sports bar with a British vibe pairing eclectic eats with a rotating tap of local brews. If it’s soccer season or the World Cup, this is a great spot to catch a match.
When you’ve closed your tab at Bonn Lair, head south to our customer Cheaters, 3221 Folsom Blvd. If it’s a Saturday or Sunday and there’s games on, make sure not to skip Cheaters. Their local patrons are huge sports fans and know how to have a good time.
Can you make it two more stops? If you’re looking for one more legendary dive bar, it’s time to head back toward J Street and go visit our customer Club Raven, 3246 J Street. Lovingly referred to at times as The Dirty Bird, Club Raven is the ultimate East Sacramento dive bar. The bartenders are awesome, the drinks are inexpensive, and the place is full of regulars and locals.
