Keep your New Years resolution with these Sacramento places
Ah, another year another set of “New Year, New Me” resolutions. Maybe you’re planning to lose weight or eat better, or maybe you want to get organized and stay on top of your finances. Whatever your resolution may be, there’s businesses and people all over Sacramento to help you achieve your goals.
The key to fulfilling your resolution is to plan, plan, plan. Being prepared is the number 1 way to make sure you achieve what you set out to do and the best way to do that is to take some time and plan ahead! Also, set goals that motivate you and inspire you to want to achieve them. They should be personal to you and not what everyone else is doing.
Here are some of our recommendations for places that will help you keep your New Years’ resolutions.
Lose Weight / Exercise More
We live in a city that’s full of fantastic outdoor recreation areas to help you exercise more! American River Parkway is a 32-mile trail that runs along the American River and is perfect for biking, walking, running, or hiking!
Getting outdoors isn’t really your thing? Gyms abound in Sacramento! From locally-owned specialty spots like CycleLife, All City Riders, California Family Fitness, and Title Boxing Co to nation-wide gyms like Planet Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, and Crunch Gym you are sure to find your gym ‘home’ in Sactown.
If eating habits are something you’re challenging yourself to change, spots like Fit Eats and Trifecta can help you meal prep your way toward your goals.
Be less stressed
It’s super easy to say “don’t worry about it” or to tell yourself you’re making too big of a deal about something, but that’s definitely easier said than done. Simple ways to de-stress could be to stay organized and plan ahead but sometimes you just need to treat yourself to a day of pampering to let those worries fly away.
Asha Urban Baths is a modern, cultural fusion of the old-world bathhouse and is Sacramento’s only old-world style wellness experience. Their facilities include a sauna, massages & yoga classes.
Not sure if a bathhouse is a right fit for you? What about a hot pilates class! Locally owned P20 Pilates offers full TRX, Running and Kettlebell Programs to help you get your sweat on and take the stress away quickly.
Spend more time with family and friends
We don’t know about you, but our favorite friends and family memories usually happen over a meal. Save yourself the stress of cooking and make reservations at one of our favorite Sacramento-area eateries! Some of our customers that we know will take care of your family and friends include Tapa The World, Beast and Bounty, Club Pheasant, Heritage Dining & Provisions, La Crosta Pizza Bar, The Rind, One Speed Pizza, and Iron Grill!
Learn a new skill or hobby
This is one of our favorite resolutions because it helps you grow as a person! What’s not to love about educating yourself and trying something new that you’re passionate about?
The new skill or hobby that you want to take up can easily become something you’re an expert at by next year! If it’s a “teachable” skill, classes at Sacramento City College may be something to check out. Or using Google or social media, you could find a local expert and ask them to teach you the hobby or skill. Friendly Sacramenteans are out there who would love to help you learn something new!
