Top 5 Outdoor Dining Options in Sacramento
As summer starts to heat up in Sacramento and shelter-in-place orders are lifted, all we can think about is grabbing our masks and eating good food on a patio. Outdoor dining has been expanded at many places around the city so that restaurants can maintain social distancing regulations, which means there are even more options to dine al fresco now!
Fun fact: Did you know outdoor dining started in New York City on Coney Island? Restauranter Charles Feltman sensed an opportunity in the 1990s to start a quick-service restaurant at the amusement park that would expand his culinary offerings to wedged sausage in bread - and the hot dog was born. He leased property for a restaurant to serve his new culinary delight on Coney Island, and it included lots of outdoor seating. People flocked to the restaurant and enjoyed outdoor seating so much the concept expanded rapidly. The open-air dining concourse was the place to be in Coney Island.
